Trees for Generations

One beautiful tree...

  • Can reduce a home air conditioning bill 30%
  • Will absorb the CO2 produced by 4 cars
  • Can produce the oxygen needed by a family of 4
  • Can add 10% to the value of a home

Balled and burlapped trees are better.

Many treesBalled and Burlapped are grown and sold in plastic pots.  Often times the roots circle in the pot and continue to circle after the tree is planted.  This can lead to an adverse condition referred to as “stem girdling roots.”  Balled and burlapped trees are dug out of the ground and are much less likely to have circling roots.  Bachman’s considers balled and burlapped trees the premium choice for long term results.

An expert should visit your home.

BExpert Visitachman’s always has a professional visit your home to help select the tree and choose the exact spot for planting.  Our experts understand the special features, the ultimate size and the growth requirements of all the trees we offer and can help you make the perfect choice.  We consider a tree choice a lifetime choice!

Why a professional should plant your tree:

Arborists haveProfessional Planting taught us that proper planting depth is critical for long-term tree health.  Every tree has a “root flare” that needs to be placed above the existing soil grade.  Our seasoned crew-leaders understand how to find the root flare and plant at the proper depth.

Why we don’t plant ash trees:

The Emerald Ash Borer is an insect pest that has devastated huge numbers of Ash trees in the eastern United States with most damage in the Detroit area.  Ash trees were a great substitute Ash Borerfor Elms and they are the most prevalent tree in the Twin Cities. Because of the real threat of this pest Bachman’s is no longer recommending Ash.
